THE CHARLOTTE MASON ARCHIVE
The Charlotte Mason Archive held in the Armitt Library and Museum consists of: i) 60 boxes of archives, together with some loose materials, housed in the secure store in the basement of the Armitt building; ii) a collection of books, mainly from the old College library, housed in the restricted access area of the Armitt Library. This collection is catalogued in the Library Catalogue. It contains many books owned by Charlotte Mason, and also copies of most of her published works. There is also a complete collection of the Parents’ Review. This catalogue refers to the materials held under i) above. The contents of the catalogue are as follows: A A chart showing the location of the archive boxes (1-60) on the shelves in the inner secure store in the basement of the Armitt building B A catalogue of the materials held in each of the 60 archive boxes. It should be noted that since the boxes have been brought together from different sources there is no overall pattern of organisation. However, most boxes contain materials on one or two topics.
